Julie Myers, PsyD, MSCP  is a licensed Psychologist in San Diego.  She is dedicated to empowering individuals and families to regain control over their lives. You can learn to accept yourself unconditionally change harmful behaviors, and address underlying conditions that fuel your behaviors 

Dr. Myers specializes in teaching self-regulatory strategies for coping with anxiety, phobias, obsessive-compulsive disorder, addiction (particularly alcohol issues), trauma (PTSD and traumatic grief), bipolar disorder, and relationship problems.   

Dr. Myers offers a unique perspective to psychotherapy, using a scientifically-based, non-confrontational and self-empowering approach to psychotherapy.  She combines cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) with cutting-edge tools of Virtual Reality, Biofeedback, EMDR.    

As a clinical psychopharmacologist, Dr. Myers can also offer education, suggestions and coordination with your psychiatrist or other health care provider about your medications.  One of her unique specialities is providing coordinated psychotherapy with administration of ketamine in collaboration with Alexander Papp, MD at the Point Loma Clinic. 

Julie Myers holds a Psychology Doctorate and a Postdoctoral MS in Clinical Psychopharmacology.  She is Board Certified in Biofeedback (BCIA, Fellow), a Master Addiction Counselor (NAADAC), and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (IATP). Dr. Myers also teaches psychopharmacology at the postdoctoral level and volunteers her time with the San Diego non-profit group, Survivors of Suicide Loss (SOSL).
